I’m pretty certain we all felt awkward while in high school. I know I did. I was tall. Lanky. No boobs. No butt. Quiet. Low self-esteem. Not quite sure what ‘crowd’ I fit into. I have known the girls of this day and age are very different from when I was in school but the recent senior shoot I did 100% confirmed it. This gal knew how to work it. Yeah…girls are definitely different these days.
I should mention we had the perfect spot - a rad graffiti wall with some buzzin’ tunes.

I’m not gonna lie. It’s been a rough couple of weeks. Little Miss Sophie is teething and it’s been fun for noone (even Cooper). On top of teething she has a major case of separation anxiety. I will be honest and say the whining and crying can get to you but when I look into those big blue eyes it all goes away. All I want to do is love her more and more. And when I look at those gorgeous legs and belly…I melt. I laugh. I smile. I thank my lucky stars. I. Love. Her.

I would have to say the snow & cold weather is definitely getting to us. I mean you can only play with the same toys for so many days in a row. Or concoct a toy that is entertaining that won’t go straight into her mouth. Luckily I’ve got the cutest little girl with quite the personality to play with when we are stuck inside. She makes my day shine like no other (even if she teething and whiny!).

I recently tried to sell my 100mm macro on eBay. It didn’t sell. At first I was disappointed because I’m trying to save for the Canon 5D Mark II and plus I didn’t use as often as I thought I would…but I’m actually glad because I really do love taking macro photos. I took some time this week while Little Miss Sophie was napping to take a few macro shots of Cooper…

Well, I didn’t have the opportunity to shoot Sal Jr. when he was first born (I had a nagging cold) but I did get to shoot him a few weeks later. I was hoping he would still be sleeping a majority of the day but that wasn’t the case. He happened to be awake the entire shoot! Not to worry though. This little one was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed…most of the time. Gosh, he has gorgeous brown eyes and an incredible amount of thick hair. Sal Jr. is beautiful and healthy!

Okay. I confess. I definitely suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder. I become unmotivated especially when it’s cold out. I prefer to stay inside and snuggle with my family…and that’s that. Yesterday, however, was warm (warmer than January weather should be). Cooper and I decided to head out to play while Little Miss Sophie was taking her nap. The light around 2:30 - 3:00 pm is absolutely delicious. It’s warm. It’s creamy. It wraps itself around you.

I’ve been wanting to take some photos of Little Miss Sophie’s hiney for at least a month now. Okay. That’s a lie. Definitely since she was born. I happen to think it’s the cutest hiney I’ve ever seen. And I’d have to say I’m not kidding when I tell you her skin is like porcelain. And I’m not just saying that because she’s my daughter…believe me, I’ve seen a lot of bare baby hiney’s! Anyway, although I won’t actually show you her hiney (because it’s for my eyes only!), here are a few of her gorgeous little face, hands and feet. Enjoy!

This little character was so fun, cheery and such a ball of energy! He was a blast to shoot with! And, I think the title speaks for itself… =)
